Post-Production Summit Panel & Discussions
The summit may end — but the conversation doesn’t. Our Post-Summit Panel & Discussions series is designed to extend, deepen, and enrich the ideas first aired during the summit itself. These dialogues bring together summit speakers, industry leaders, and emerging voices to reflect on what was learned, course-correct in real time, and anticipate what’s next.
Through moderated panels, roundtables, and open discussions, we aim to:
Unpack key themes and insights from the summit
Surface unresolved questions and tensions
Explore emerging trends and directions
Invite broader community participation and feedback
Create a bridge between summit energy and sustained momentum
What to Expect
Thematic Panels. Every panel focuses on a specific thread or theme from the summit — for example, “Cinematography in the Age of Virtual Production,” or “Inclusive Storytelling & Visual Language.”
Diverse Perspectives. We assemble a mix of voices — experienced professionals, creative innovators, and up-and-coming practitioners — to spark rich and sometimes contested dialogue.
Moderator-led Flow + Audience Voice. Each session combines structured questions, panelist interaction, and audience participation (via Q&A, polls, or comments).
Reflections & Forward Thinking. Panels don’t just recap what happened; they interrogate it. We probe assumptions, spotlight blind spots, and look ahead to what the future might demand.
Continuing Access. All sessions are recorded, edited, and made available on this site, so you can revisit or catch what you missed.
Structure & Format
Here’s a typical flow for a Post-Summit Panel session — flexible depending on time, format (in person / virtual / hybrid), and speakers:
Welcome & Context Setting — The moderator opens, reminds participants of the summit’s goals, and frames the session.
Panelist Introductions — Each panelist offers a 1–2 minute orientation: who they are, what lens they bring.
Core Discussion — Moderator poses a curated set of questions, inviting interaction among panelists.
Audience Engagement — We open the floor to questions, or use digital tools like polls, chat prompts, or audience voting.
Synthesis & Takeaways — Each panelist gives a closing insight or question — what remains unsettled, and what comes next.
Wrap-up & Next Steps — Moderator closes, points to upcoming events or resources, and expresses gratitude.
Why It Matters
Momentum & Continuity. The summit’s insights are fresh. Post-summit panels capture that energy and keep participants engaged.
Depth over Summary. While keynotes often aim broad, these discussions can dig into subthemes, tension zones, and “what didn’t get said.”
Community Building. By opening up discussion, we allow voices beyond the stage to influence the narrative.
Adaptive Learning. Technological shifts, audience feedback, and emergent trends evolve — these sessions allow us to course-correct and evolve.
Legacy & Archive. The recorded panels become part of a growing library of reflection, usable by learners, creators, and scholars long after the summit ends.

Our Commitment & Values
At Sight, Sound & Story, our Post-Summit Panels are guided by a few core principles:
Generative over declarative. We’re not here to lecture; we’re here to provoke, question, and imagine.
Listening as craft. Good moderation is as much about holding space as it is asking questions. We aim to hear what’s beneath the surface.
Transparency & humility. Conversations include failure, blind spots, and uncertainty — not just polished success.
Inclusive invitation. We prioritize diversity of perspective — across gender, geography, filmmaking level, background — to avoid echo chambers.
Access & legacy. We commit to making recordings, transcripts, and resources openly available to further the larger visual storytelling community.
