Join us for a conversation with the sound team behind Prime Video’s new series “Bait,” starring Riz Ahmed. Re-recording Mixer Richard Davey, Supervising Sound Editor Jack Gillies, and Supervising Dialogue Editor Steve Berezai, moderated by Amy Leyland, will break down how the show’s distinctive soundscape was built—from early dialogue shaping and editorial decisions through to the final mix—and how sound was used to drive tension, atmosphere, and storytelling across the series.

PANELISTS:

Steve Berezai is a supervising dialogue and ADR editor working across high-end television comedy, drama, and feature film. With more than a decade of experience in post-production sound, Steve crafts nuanced dialogue soundtracks for both critically acclaimed and commercially successful productions, including “Bait,” “Unforgotten,” “Miss Austen,” “Red Eye”, and “The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die.”

Richard Davey is a three-time Emmy-, BAFTA-, and RTS-nominated re-recording mixer and co-founder of the London-based audio post-production facility Jumbuck Film & TV.
His career spans 25 years, and his extensive credits include series such as “Bait,” “Rivals,” “Legends,” “One Day,” “Top Boy,” “Veep,” and “The Last Kingdom,” as well as feature documentaries including “The Sound of 007” and “Oasis: Supersonic.” He specialises in high-end television drama, comedy, documentary, and feature films.

Jack Gillies is an MPSE-winning supervising sound editor whose work across high-end television dramas and comedies, feature films, and documentaries spans more than two decades. His credits include major television productions such as “Bait,” “Legends,” “Top Boy,” “Veep”, and “The Last Kingdom,” alongside feature work including “Fighting with my Family,” “The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die,” and documentaries such as “Oasis: Supersonic,” and “Coldplay: A Head Full of Dreams.”
